New Lake Forest Animal Clinic Patient Admission Procedures

Dear friends of Lake Forest Animal Clinic,

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please contact us for your pets health care needs as we are committed to being here for you.

Due to the ongoing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, the doctors and staff at Lake Forest Animal Clinic have decided to continue our policy of only allowing our own employees and veterinary personnel to enter our premises.

However, we have improved our admission procedures to enhance the safety of our clients, our staff and our precious veterinary patients. In order to provide contact free admission, we have decide to utilize a built in safety feature of our hospital design, the front door foyer.

When you arrive at the parking area, please call the front desk at (847) 234-4011. Make sure we have your correct CELL phone number so we can communicate with you. We don’t have caller identification on our business phones.

When it is time to see your pet, you will be instructed to place them in the foyer area. For a dog:

  1. Enter the front door foyer and close the door.
  2. Remove your own leash and collar or harness.
  3. Slip the provided clinic leash over your dogs head.
  4. Exit the foyer and close the door securely behind you.

For a cat:

  1. Place the cat in a secure carrier at home.

  1. Place carrier in foyer.

If you don’t have a carrier for your cat, please let us know and we can provide one for you.

Once you exit the foyer, we will open the door from the waiting room and welcome our friend into the clinic. Returning your pet will be done in a reverse of this process.

The foyer area, door handles and leashes are being wiped down between each patient. All staff members are wearing masks and washing hands frequently while handling patients. We would appreciate if you would wear a face covering when you drop off your pet to help keep the area cleaner for everyone.

Medication can also be delivered to you without human contact. We are using the side door area for medication pick up. Please make sure to continue your dogs heartworm medication all year round.

Ticks have emerged already and can bring disease with them. We can provide your pers with flea and tick prevention without an appointment.

Please call (847) 234-4011 or email at LFACLINIC@gmail.com to request medication.
